Join artist Laura Madera in conversation with Nadja Pelkey as they discuss phenomena and place in relation to the exhibition The Angle of the Sun’s Rays. Other topics may include the conversational nature of watercolour and content, poetic impulses, embodiment, amoeba sex and what it might mean to paint like a creature.

Nadja Pelkey is an artist, writer, and cultural worker living and working in Windsor, ON. In 2008 she earned a BFA from the University of Windsor, and in 2010 she received an MFA from the University of Guelph. She has contributed catalogue essays, review and criticism to both regional and national publications including the Spring 2016 Issue of Syphon an arts and culture periodical from Modern Fuel Gallery in Kingston, ON. In 2014 she was nominated for the Ontario Premier’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts by senior artist nominee Iain Baxter.
