RMG Fridays: 5th Anniversary

February 05, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Celebrate the 5th Anniversary of RMG Fridays! Whitby native Annie Sumi sets the stage with her intimate indie-folk tunes, followed by Jamie Drake’s exploratory percussion.

Museum Hack, NYC, delivers a highly interactive, non-traditional museum tour as we open Ask Children: Selections from the Permanent Collection. O’Neill Senior Dance Ensemble exhibits movement throughout the gallery while artist JR Hunter paints live to capture the evening on canvas. Get glam with make-up art by Art & Technique Academy of Hairstyling and Esthetics!

Join the Living Room in the studio for a fun craft, personalize a Tshirt by Top 5 Design and nibble on cupcakes by Cakes by Stephanie. In our Friday Film Features screening room we will be showing two films by young film-makers this week: Thank you for supporting the arts, a student shot documentary by Eastdale C.V.I. and 7 Deadly Sins, a dance film by Sinclair Secondary.

Our partners for the evening include UOIT, Durham College and Trent University.

On the first Friday of the month, join the RMG in celebrating local talent. The gallery buzzes with live musical performances, interactive art experiences, open gallery spaces, social mingling and more. Suitable for music lovers, youth, families, date nights, and culture-vultures.

Free to attend | 7-10pm | Cash Bar | All ages welcome.
