Presenting our next strategic plan – Art, Community and Care

February 13, 2025

We’re excited to share the RMG’s strategic plan for 2025-2027 – Art, Community & Care.  Working with consultants Sara Udow and Seema Jethalal (Extra Cardamom Consulting), the staff and Board teams collaborated on the refinement of our vision, mission, and values as well as the renewed strategic pillars from May to November 2024.

Our last strategic plan (Connected, Creative and Caring 2022-2024) set us in motion, expanding how we support artists, build genuine community bonds, and reimagine what a gallery can be. We’re ready to continue building on those efforts while finding ways to better serve our community – including those who have not yet walked through our doors.

We hope that by reviewing our direction in the next three years you will see ways you can connect to and participate in the gallery.  In the next three years we will:

  • Deepen support for artists
  • Nurture relationships
  • Be a welcoming space
  • Amplify awareness and reach
  • Strengthen sustainability and responsiveness

Thank you to the community members who responded to our survey, focus group participants, our staff and Board teams, and the ad-hoc strategic planning committee.  We are especially grateful to Sara and Seema for leading a process that centered joy, creativity, and conversation.

We invite you to review the complete plan here.
